Taking over a new high-rise contract is one thing. Delivering the first clean properly is what starts to build trust.
Our in-house abseiling division has completed its first scheduled window and cladding clean at Ten Degrees in Croydon, as part of our work for Greystar.
Standing approximately 135 metres tall, Ten Degrees comprises two towers of 38 and 44 storeys, with 546 homes. At that scale, window and façade cleaning takes more than simply putting operatives on ropes. It needs careful planning, experienced people, clear communication and proper coordination throughout the programme.
The full cleaning programme, completed as promised
Our team completed the full scheduled window and cladding clean on time, without issues or complaints and to the standard agreed from the beginning.
The feedback afterwards made the result even more rewarding.
Previous contractors had been unable to complete the full cleaning programme. Our team was recognised for going above and beyond, completing the required work and maintaining the expected standard throughout.
For us, that's an important start to a new contract.
Why we keep high-rise cleaning in-house
Projects like Ten Degrees are exactly why we've continued to invest in our own experienced high-rise team.
Our abseiling operatives are part of SM Cleaning. We don't simply win a contract and then pass the specialist work to somebody else.
That gives us greater control over the planning, communication, reporting and, most importantly, the standard delivered on site.
Director Danny Steele summed up the first clean:
“A strong start to a new contract and an excellent effort from everyone involved.”
There will be more work to come at Ten Degrees, but the first scheduled clean has set the standard.
Plan it properly. Communicate clearly. And deliver what we promised.
