We’re proud to announce that SM Cleaning has now joined the Federation of Window Cleaners. The organisation began in 1947 and has grown into the country’s leading body for accreditation in this industry. By joining the Federation of Window Cleaners we’re ensuring that our teams stay up to the minute on the latest techniques, equipment, risk assessment and safety practices. All of which are absolutely vital when carrying out work on the large buildings many of our clients occupy.
New employee wellbeing partner
As part of our commitment to safeguard the wellbeing of our hard working staff we recently joined forces with Wagestream, you can read more about that partnership here. But our commitment to our staff doesn’t end there, we’re pushing ahead and announcing another partnership for the welfare of our teams, this time with Health Assured.
Health Assured is the UK’s largest independent employee assistance program. They will make a wide range of support services available to our staff, including counselling, trauma management, legal and financial advice and a 24/7 helpline. With a great deal of news about the rising cost of living and other challenges we’re all facing at the moment, we’re delighted to be able to offer this industry leading support to every member of our team and look forward to enjoying the benefits of partnering with Health Assured.
New accreditations: CHAS and BICSc
SM Cleaning is always looking for ways to level up our expertise and professionalism. We’ve previously renewed our ISO9001 certification and become ISO14001 certified too. As part of this continued pursuit we have recently become a CHAS (Contractors Health and Safety Assessment Scheme) accredited contractor.
Our accreditation with CHAS means that SM Cleaning has successfully demonstrated our compliance with health and safety regulations to an excellent standard, ensuring that we carry out all of our work with the highest level of attentiveness towards the health and safety of both our staff, our clients and the public. This is vitally important as a great deal of our commercial work takes place in settings where other people such as our client’s staff may be present or working nearby. By evidencing our best practices as part of the CHAS assessment we hope to provide additional peace of mind to our clients and reassure them that we continue to put safe working practices at the core of what we do at SM Cleaning.
SM Cleaning has also joined the British Institute of Cleaning Science (BICSc). The BICSc is the preeminent educational body within the cleaning industry, providing guidance on professional standards and fully accredited training to its members. Their expertise will help our company stay at the cutting edge of the cleaning industry, enabling us to continue to deliver the best possible service to our valued clients.
